Resumo: | In times of economic crisis, the search for more profitable and sustainable construction techniques is increasingly present in the civil construction market. In the current period, this market has several types of investors, in which they seek the highest profitability, combining lower cost with shorter term and higher quality. Thus, the present work consists of a case study aimed at a comparison of two construction techniques present in civil construction, conventional monolithic structures, the most used method in buildings in Brazil formed by pillars and reinforced concrete beams and structures with walls made of polystyrene. expanded - EPS. Considering this fact, this work is formalized bringing a review of the main construction techniques worldwide, with its concept, applications, and characteristics. With that, we move on to the financial survey of the analyzed modes, formalizing the construction procedures and their advantages and disadvantages. The method that makes use of EPS walls has several advantages, when compared to the conventional system, such as lower direct cost, labor, reduced delivery time and still considering greater thermal and acoustic resistance compared to the conventional technique. The work seeks a possible break in traditionalist paradigms, which have a direct impact on technological innovations in the field of civil construction, which still bring insecurity in the field because there is no regulatory rule in the country. The EPS walls are formed by expanded polystyrene panels and steel screens wrapped by structural mortar, the panels are purchased ready-made, requiring only mortar assembly and application, which brings simplicity to the work, and a shorter deadline. Thus, in this work, a financial comparison was made of the two techniques mentioned, bringing the cost per m², labor cost, and the total cost of a single-family residence project, using the SINAPI system and budgets companies specialized in EPS walls in the country. |
