The Sykes-Picot agreement was drawn up by the main powers at the time and during the First World War, with the aim of dividing the lands of the Middle East that would be appropriated after defeating the Ottoman Empire which had dominated there. In fact, the presentation on different contexts that led to the perpetuation of the agreement and the way the local population reacted is focused on, in addition to providing bibliographic information about the scenario generated consequently. The development of these events should conclude an explanatory resolution of the ongoing situation in the Middle East, not only in the conflict area, but also generating a parameter for the complete understanding of the international community regarding to the geopolitical construction of the area as well as the deployment established on its interests, political polarities and alliances. It is also pointed out the conflicting relationship presented after the establishment of the State of Israel and the outcome of its regional neighbors are among the main points of debate, consequently, bringing forward a detailed parameter on the Palestinian people, which was the main one affected by the new colonialism that took place, before and after 1948.
