Resumo: Despite not being a new theme, home automation still faces barriers. Nowadays the solutions can be split into two groups. The first one is composed of systems with high complexity, cost and reliability, the second group consists of low-cost, easy to install, unreliable and nonintegrated systems. This project describes the development and installation of a home automation system for a 3-bedroom apartment, with the goal of a low-cost reliable solution. In this solution where included the control of lights, TVs, Air Conditioner and the power measurement of selected devices. To control all devices, a central unit equipped with OpenHab software is used, which is responsible for the integration, commands and supplying a unique visual interface to the system. To analyze the obtained results multiple tests where proposed, in which safety, availability and latency of the developed system where evaluated and considered satisfactory. The cost goal of R$ 3.000,00 for equipment acquisition was also achieved.

Atualmente existe uma polarização de soluções, pois por um lado existem soluções de alta complexidade, custo e confiabilidade, e do outro temos soluções de custo reduzido, fácil instalação, funcionamento errático e não integrativo. Este projeto consiste na implantação de um sistema de automação em um apartamento de 3 quartos, com foco na confiabilidade, com um custo reduzido. Foram automatizados: a iluminação, o controle de televisores, ar condicionado e a medição de energia em pontos de interesse. O sistema desenvolvido é controlado por meio de uma central de automação equipada com o software OpenHab, o qual é responsável pela integração, comandos e disponibilidade de interface visual única para todos os equipamentos. Para aferir os resultados obtidos foram realizados testes diversos para verificação da segurança, disponibilidade e latência das soluções aplicadas com resultados considerados satisfatórios em todas as categorias.
