Arnulfo D. Trejo (1922-2002) was a Mexican-American professional librarian. His work as a university professor in the fields of librarianship and library science are fully recognized in the United States, but not in Ibero-America. Indeed, the teaching of this university librarian in the field of librarianship in general and Latin librarianship in particular, projects aspirations, ideas and practices with a founding, innovative and reformist vision. This teacher's interest in library education in Mexico is analyzed through his master's thesis presented at Kent State University. Unknown academic writing in our country. The influence of the Trejo Foster Foundation for Hispanic Library Education, an organization he founded with the aim of sponsoring educational programs with the intention of meeting the needs of communities of Hispanic heritage, is also discussed.
