The role of education in the thematic treatment of information in the face of the pandemic scenario: possible contributions from the area of Librarianship

Resumo: It approaches the thematic treatment of information from a theoretical and formative perspective, in connection with the period of pandemia and health emergency installed worldwide. The goal is to analyze theoretically the role of teaching in thematic treatment of information in front of the pandemic scenario, to list possible contributions of the library area through its fundamental macro-process of constitution of representations of subject. Methodologically, it constitutes a literature review study of a descriptive and qualitative nature. This paper focuses on journal articles, book chapters and proceedings, versed in thematic treatment and its formative dimension. It demonstrates that the thematic treatment is formative content in the library courses, by organizing and thematically representing each informational item according to its specificities, and consequently, acting as a tool for obtaining reliable recovery. It concludes that the proper performance of the thematic treatment of information can help combat disinformation, especially during the Coronavirus crisis, by pointing out the mediating role of the librarian between the user and the recovery of information.

Su objetivo es analizar teóricamente el papel de la enseñanza en el tratamiento temático de la información frente al escenario de la pandemía, para enumerar las posibles contribuciones del área de Bibliotecología a través de su macroproceso fundamental de constitución de representaciones de materias. Metodológicamente, es un estudio de revisión de literatura, de naturaleza descriptiva y cualitativa. Se centra en artículos de revistas, capítulos de libros y obras en forma de anales de eventos, versados ​​en el tratamiento temático y su dimensión formativa. Demuestra que el tratamiento temático es contenido formativo en los cursos de Bibliotecología, organizando y representando temáticamente cada ítem de información de acuerdo con sus especificidades y, en consecuencia, actuando como un instrumento para obtener una recuperación confiable. Concluye que la realización adecuada del tratamiento temático de la información puede ayudar en la lucha contra la desinformación, principalmente durante la crisis de Coronavirus, al señalar el papel mediador del bibliotecario entre el usuario y la recuperación de la información.Aborda o tratamento temático da informação em sua perspectiva teórico-formativa, em conexão com o período de pandemia e de emergência sanitária instalado mundialmente. Objetiva analisar teoricamente o papel do ensino em tratamento temático da informação frente ao cenário pandêmico, para elencar contributos possíveis da área de Biblioteconomia mediante seu macroprocesso fundamental de constituição de representações de assunto. Metodologicamente, constitui estudo de revisão de literatura, de cunho descritivo e de natureza qualitativa. Incide sobre artigos de periódico, capítulos de livro e trabalhos na forma de anais de evento, versados em tratamento temático e em sua dimensão formativa. Demonstra que o trato temático é conteúdo formativo nos cursos de Biblioteconomia, ao organizar e representar tematicamente cada item informacional segundo suas especificidades, e consequentemente, atuar como instrumento para a obtenção de recuperação confiável.
