DL: The Desirable Profile of the Tutor Teacher and the Use of Technological Resources

The objective of this study was to verify the students' perception of the attributes of a good tutor and the use of technological resources in the classroom in a Higher Education Institution, in the distance education modality. Data were collected through the application of questionnaires for EAD students, totaling a sample of 175 students. The study is characterized as quantitative. Results analysis was performed using the descriptive statistical technique and exploratory factorial analysis. The main attributes for a good tutor teacher in the perception of EAD students were posture, relationship and didactics, on the other hand, professional ability and motivation were the attributes with less relevance. The technological resources most used in the classroom and highlighted by the students were the Multimedia Projector and the Power Point, while the Tablet and Socrative resulted in less use. These findings indicate that, although it is possible to increase the use of these resources for teaching and learning in a productive way, tutors still use traditional technological resources. The results also contribute to the expansion of the literature on the tutor in the EAD, proving its role as mediator.
