The health manager’s administrative responsability

Health professionals in general, including dentists, may act in their professions in different ways. These include the activity of the health manager, whose importance in the national political outlook has increased lately due to its essential role in addressing the population’s needs. Acting in this field requires knowledge that is usually not provided by the normal curriculum of universities. The present paper aims at presenting the main responsibilities and obligations of the health manager towards the State, based on principles of administrative law and on the current legislation. A literature review was conducted on the main issues of administrative law, administration principles, administrative misconduct, the invitation to bid statute and fiscal responsibility. It was noticed that the work of a health manager in the administrative outlook is restricted by responsibilities and duties towards the State, rendering that professional vulnerable due to the lack of knowledge on his/her functions.
