Medical Act Bill and Multiprofessional Team

Resumo: Considering the repercussion that the called “Bill of the Medical Act” (PLS 25/2002 and amendment PLS 25 of 2002) has caused in the media, among professionals and other sections of society, as well as its reflexes on interdisciplinary formation, it was aimed to detect the level of knowledge, opinions and expectations of health professionals about the new Bill. The study was carried out with a total of 90 volunteers, being 28 phisicians and 62 named as other professionals. Questionnaires were distributed by the local managers of the health units of the northeastern area of Belo Horizonte. Data were collected from the avaliation of 90 applied questionnaires. Among the 90 questionnaires, 25 (28%) answered that the possible approval of the bill could bring benefits for their professional activity and 50 (56%) answered that it could not. In another question , 57 (64%) answered, that it could damage their professional activity, and 22 (25%) answered that it could not. Regarding the benefits that the possible approval of the bill could have on the service to the population, 23 (26%) participants considered that it could bring benefits and 56 (62%) that it could not. When asked about possible damages to the health service, 66 (73%) aswered affirmatively and 13 (15%) aswered negatively. Through the analysis of the questionnaires, it was possible to verify the lack of knowledge about the Bill and its Amendment among most professionals. As for the benefits, harms and implications on their professional activity and on the health care for the population majority of those interviewed disagreed with the approval of the Bill.

As for the benefits, harms and implications on their professional activity and on the health care for the population majority of those interviewed disagreed with the approval of the Bill.Considerando a repercussão que o chamado “Projeto de Lei do Ato Médico” (PLS 25/2002 e PLS 25 substitutivo de 2002) vem gerando na mídia, entre profissionais de saúde e outros setores da sociedade, bem como seus reflexos na formação interdisciplinar, objetivou-se detectar o nível de conhecimento, opiniões e expectativas de profissionais da saúde a respeito deste projeto. O estudo foi realizado com um total de 90 voluntários sendo 28 médicos e 62 denominados “outros profissionais”. Foram distribuídos questionários por intermédio dos Gerentes de cada Unidade de Saúde da Regional Nordeste de Belo Horizonte. Os dados foram coletados a partir da avaliação de 90 questionários aplicados. Destes 90 questionários, 25 (28%) responderam que a possível aprovação do projeto de lei poderia trazer benefícios para sua atividade profissional e 50 (56%) responderam que não. Em outra questão, 57 (64%) responderam que poderia trazer prejuízos para sua atividade profissional, e 22 (25%) responderam não. A respeito dos benefícios que a possível aprovação do projeto de lei teria para o atendimento à população 23 (26%) respondentes consideram que trará benefícios e 56 (62%) não. Quando consultados sobre prováveis prejuízos para o atendimento que a aprovação poderá acarretar 66 (73%) responderam afirmativamente e 13 (15%) responderam que não. Através da análise dos questionários foi possível constatar o desconhecimento do Projeto de Lei e de seu Substitutivo por uma grande maioria dos profissionais consultados.
