Resumo: This text has as object of study the series of Barbie dolls “Criações Exclusivas Conrado Segreto”, from 1992, from which it reflects on elements of the creative process in fashion of the aforementioned stylist. Taking advantage of the bricolage methodological approach in its interpretative character, the study uses images and theoretical references from different areas, such as fashion, art and visual culture, to produce multidirectional and interdisciplinary analyzes about the studied object. In its hermeneutic and speculative perspective, this study articulates understandings about a cultural ethos of fashion that builds images and is, at the same time, conveyed by them and permeates the creation processes. With this, it is possible to understand the cultural constitution of the creative work of the stylist Conrado Segreto in his attempt to dress the Barbie doll.

Valendo-se da abordagem metodológica da bricolagem em seu caráter interpretativo, o estudo utiliza imagens e referências teóricas de diferentes áreas, como a moda, a arte e a cultura visual, para produzir análises multidirecionais e interdisciplinares acerca do objeto estudado. Em sua perspectiva hermenêutica e especulativa, este estudo articula entendimentos acerca de um ethos cultural da moda que constrói imagens, é, ao mesmo tempo, veiculado por estas e permeia os processos de criação.
