Resumo: This article gathers the results of a research carried through the Empresa de Tecnologia e Informações da Previdência Social – Dataprev. Based on the principles of IT Governance of the Cobit model, it had been identified the relevant IT processes for the company in question. Through the analysis of the data collected in the field research carried with the managers and supervisors of the Diretoria de Operações e Telecomunicações, it had been concluded that 50% of the processes recommended for the model have relevance for reality of the company. Com base nos princípios de governança de TI do modelo Cobit, foram identificados os processos de TI relevantes para a empresa em questão. Através da análise dos dados coletados na pesquisa de campo realizada junto aos gerentes e supervisores da Diretoria de Operações e Telecomunicações, concluiu-se que 50% dos processos recomendados pelo modelo têm relevância para realidade da empresa.
