Resumo: | Every human being is vulnerable to witness and/or live a disaster, being caused by man or the force of nature. Consequently, disasters require emergency provisions to assist people, taking into account the various losses that have occurred. It is therefore important to understand humanitarian logistics in a holistic way and the environmental management associated with it. This study presents an analysis of initiatives associated with humanitarian operations, environmental indicators and how they relate to each other. Regarding the method, the research is based on a scope review, followed by a systematic literature review (SLR). It was found that the theme in the area of humanitarian logistics is still a challenge, with a strong presence of the relationship between environmental indicators and humanitarian practices. The environmental indicators of recycling and the characteristics of the product can be highlighted as the most correlated to the selected humanitarian logistics practices in the literature; however, some indicators were not mentioned, such as illegal deforestation, water quantity, water consumption, solid waste, reforestation and threats to forest conservation. From these results, it can be concluded that, although environmental performance indicators are of extreme relevance, not all indicators can be attributed to humanitarian logistics initiatives, inciting several opportunities for future research. |
