Discussion after the implementation of possible ergonomic contributions in the project of automation of production lines

In the context of the production system in conjunction with principles of ergonomics this article seeks to discuss how the lack of interaction in the design of projects contributes to the appearance of inadequacies in the development of tasks. The object of study is an improvement project implemented in a company that manufactures cellulose fiber packaging (molded pulp) for the packaging of eggs and fruits located in the interior of the state of São Paulo. This is an exploratory research of a qualitative nature, explained in a case study, in which it was possible to reflect on the results of the implementation of a line automation process. The new situation brought difficulties for the development of the activity, impacting on new constraints on the workers. The analyzes indicated that the improvement was performed without the effective participation of the user and, therefore, lacked important knowledge about "doing" the operation. It was concluded that the correlation between Ergonomics concepts with focus on the activity and the design requirements would allow the involved actors to develop more effective changes, benefiting the worker and the production.
