Resumo: The economic transformations that have occurred in Brazil in the last two decades resulted locational move businesses and jobs. This work presents a brief discussion on regional planning in Brazil, at the nationallevel. Was used the historical deductive method, seeking to observe the connections between the general and the particular, understanding that local realities are reflections of actions not only local, but mainlynational and regional. Was used the database of the Relação Anual de Informações Sociais (RAIS), the Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego (MTE). The results showed that occurred increases in the amounts of jobs in less developed regions of the country, though there are large concentration of production activities in  Southeastern Brazil.

O presente trabalho objetiva apresentar uma breve discussão sobre o planejamento regional no Brasil, no âmbito nacional. Utilizou-se do método histórico-dedutivo, visando observar as conexões entre o geral e o particular, por entender que as realidades locais são reflexos de ações não somente locais, mas principalmente nacionais e regionais. Utilizou-se a base de dados da Relação Anual de Informações Sociais (RAIS), do Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego (MTE).
