Body dysmorphic disorder - Pathological dissatisfaction with self-image and the search for aesthetic procedures

Resumo: Objective: The objective of this study was to report a clinical case of mentonian remodeling with the injectable calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) implant, describing the application technique and the result observed 30  and 120 days after the surgical procedure. Case report: a 58-year-old female patient sought care, to improve her facial esthetic condition, with a primary focus on her profile, where her chin was set back. For the execution of this case, the chosen material was CaHA (Rennova®; Diamond®), for its biocompatibility, longevity, for being an excellent dermal filler material with high G '(modulus of elasticity), cohesiveness and viscosity compared to hyaluronic acid fillers. It is considered the ideal choice for three-dimensional volume restoration, with good results and high patient satisfaction and with minimal adverse effects. After facial analysis and case planning, CaHA was applied with 22G microcannulas (Fabinjet®), after blocking intraoral anesthetics with lidocaine hydrochloride. Standardized photographs were taken before and after 30 days and 4 months of the procedure. Conclusion: after 30 and 120 days, a more pleasant aesthetics with a lifting effect can be verified, correcting the loss of definition and structure, promoting facial rejuvenation and aesthetic satisfaction of the patient, with facial harmony referenced by the Holdaway aesthetic line.

Caso clínico: una paciente de 58 años buscó atención para mejorar su condición estética facial, con un enfoque principal en su perfil, donde su mentón estaba retraído. Para la ejecución de este caso, el material elegido fue CaHA (Rennova®; Diamond®), por su biocompatibilidad, longevidad y ser un excelente material de relleno dérmico material de relleno dérmico con alto G '(módulo de elasticidad), cohesión y viscosidad en comparación con los rellenos de ácido hialurónico. Se considera la opción ideal para la restauración de volumen tridimensional, con buenos resultados y alta satisfacción del paciente y con mínimos efectos adversos. Después del análisis facial y planificación del caso, se aplicó CaHA con microcánulas 22G (Fabinjet®), luego de bloquear los anestésicos intraorales con clorhidrato de lidocaína. Se tomaron fotografías estandarizadas antes y después de 30 días del procedimiento. Conclusión: a los treinta días y después de cuatro meses se puede comprobar una estética más agradable con efecto lifting, corrigiendo la pérdida de definición y estructura, favoreciendo el rejuvenecimiento facial y la satisfacción estética del paciente, con armonía facial referenciada por la línea estética Holdaway.  Objetivo: O objetivo deste trabalho foi relatar um caso clínico de remodelação mentoniana com o implante injetável de hidroxiapatita de cálcio (CaHA), descrevendo a técnica de aplicação e resultado observado 30 e  120 dias após o processo operatório. Relato de caso: paciente do sexo feminino, 58 anos, procurou atendimento para melhora da condição estética facial, com foco principal no seu perfil, onde seu mento estava recuado. Para a execução deste caso o material escolhido foi a CaHA (Rennova®; Diamond®), por sua biocompatibilidade, longevidade e ser um excelente material preenchedor dérmico com alto G’(módulo de elasticidade), coesividade e viscosidade em comparação a preenchedores de ácido hialurônico. É considerada a escolha ideal para restauração de volume tridimensional, com bons resultados e alta satisfação dos pacientes e com mínimos efeitos adversos. Após análise facial e planejamento do caso, a CaHA foi aplicada com microcânulas 22G (Fabinjet®), após o bloqueio anestésico intraoral com cloridrato de lidocaína. Fotografias padronizadas foram realizadas antes, após 30 dias e 4 meses depois do procedimento. Conclusão: pode-se verificar após trinta e 120 dias a obtenção de estética mais agradável, no plano estético facial, pelo reposicionamento do mento em relação à linha estética; com efeito lifting corrigindo a perda de definição e de estrutura, promovendo rejuvenescimento e satisfação estética da paciente, com harmonia facial referenciada pela linha estética de Holdaway.Profa.
