Resumo: The objective of this paper is to present the main ways of using the VBS 3 for the cadets’ teaching at AMAN. This is an exploratory, hypothetical-deductive research with a quali-quantitative approach. There will be discussions on questions regarding the importance of using the VBS 3 for tactical employment subjects of the main cavalry course groups. Upon this overview, some points will be approached: 1) the doctrine on the use of virtual simulation, 2) VBS 3, its equipment and functionalities, 3) the main aspects inherent to simulation activities using VBS 3, 4) a study on the subjects related to groups tactical employment, using the Cavalry cadets. In this way, we intend to demonstrate the importance of the use of VBS 3 as a support tool to teaching.

Trata-se de uma pesquisa exploratória, de cunho hipotético-dedutivo, cuja metodologia é de abordagem quali-quantitativa. Serão discutidas questões acerca da importância do uso do VBS 3 nas matérias de emprego tático das principais frações de cavalaria pelos cadetes do curso de cavalaria da AMAN. Neste panorama geral, abordar-se-á, 1) a doutrina pertinente a utilização da simulação virtual, 2) o VBS 3, seus equipamentos e funcionalidades, 3) os principais aspectos inerentes às atividades de simulação com o VBS 3, 4) um estudo aproveitando os cadetes do Curso de Cavalaria da AMAN nas matérias componentes do emprego tático das frações.
