HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS’ RESPONSIBLE PRACTICE AND CURRICULAR STRUCTURES IN RECIFE/PE FOR BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION COURSES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Resumo: | Studies related to sustainable development have been evolving and with them the issues pertinent to the need for change in the individual’s attitude as the one responsible for the realization of this new form of development. To better understand this idea, education is understood as an important tool to set up a way of thinking that can provide the information required for raising awareness about the practices that should be developed, both in the initial educational years of the citizen-consumer, as the continuing education in the Higher Education Institutions (heis), in the forming of society. This article aims to examine, from this perspective, how sustainable development education has been addressed in Recife’s hei’s. An exploratory-descriptive study was conducted through qualitative, semi-structured interviews with representatives from the Administration course of the selected institutions. Based on thematic analysis to understand the subject, possible alternatives were presented in order to contribute to sustainable development education being present in many of the institutions’ curricular components. |

Para a melhor compreensão dessa ideia, a educação passa a ser entendida como um instrumento importante para a efetivação de um pensamento capaz de fornecer as informações necessárias para a conscientização coletiva sobre as práticas que devem ser desenvolvidas, tanto nos anos iniciais de formação do cidadão-consumidor, quanto na continuidade educacional nas Instituições de Ensino Superior (ies), na construção da sociedade. Nessa perspectiva, o presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar como a educação para a sustentabilidade vem sendo abordada nas iess do Recife, no curso de Administração. Utilizou-se uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa realizada por meio de entrevista semiestruturada junto a representantes do curso de Administração nas instituições selecionadas.
