Resumo: | This essay demonstrates the importance of the Arts for the development of mental processes that increase rational intelligence. On the other hand, it claims for the High School the knowledge of the image from the point of view of cognitive and subjective production, critical interpretation the contextualization of what is produced and what is being analyzed. A curriculum that interlinks the Visual Arts, Design, Popular Art and Audiovisual Culture would prepare the youth for a world of varied knowledge and almost unlimited work. Which profession did not work with image? From medicine to politics, everyone uses images, which they need to know to better provide right diagnoses or positive “marketing”. I appeal to the artists and designers to campaign, now that we are discussing the High School Curriculum, strengthen Arts and Design. |

Un currículo que vinculara las Artes Visuales, el Diseño, la Cultura Popular y el sector Audiovisual prepararía a los jóvenes para un mundo de saberes y trabajos variados y casi ilimitados. ¿Cuál es la profesión hoy en día que prescinde de la imagen? Desde la medicina hasta la política, todos utilizan la imagen, la cual necesitan conocer para aprovecharla mejor, ya sea en los diagnósticos o en el omnipresente “marketing”. Hago un llamado a los artistas y diseñadores para que hagan campaña, ahora que se habla de cambiar o currículo de la escuela secundaria, para mejorar la intimidad con las artes y el diseño en las próximas generaciones.Este ensaio demonstra a importância das Artes para o desenvolvimento de processos mentais que potencializam a inteligência racional e reclama para o Ensino Médio o conhecimento da imagem do ponto de vista da produção, da leitura cognitiva e subjetiva e da contextualização do que se produz e do que se lê. Um currículo que interligasse as Artes Visuais, o Design, a Cultura Popular e o Audiovisual prepararia o jovem para um mundo de conhecimento e trabalho variado e quase ilimitado. Qual a profissão hoje em dia que dispensa a imagem? Da medicina à política, todos usam a imagem, que precisam conhecer para melhor proveito tirarem dela, quer seja em diagnósticos ou no onipresente “marketing”.
