O imaginário na narrativa dos suvenires: um estudo de caso do sítio arqueológico de Ingá

Resumo: This article presents the study of the language of artefacts through the investigation of the narrative of souvenirs from the archaeological site of Ingá, in the state of Paraíba, Brazil. The research is based on the notions about the representation of local identity in the product and on the understanding of the imaginary as an identity element capable of being explored in the formal conception of souvenirs. For the analysis of the artefacts, semiotic principles regarding the syntactic and semantic dimensions of the product were used, the understanding of the sociocultural context of the souvenir, followed by the investigation of the touristic environment and the elements of the local imaginary linked to the Pedra do Ingá (Ingá’s Stone). The analysis of the souvenirs provided the conclusion about typologies of narratives that explore the prehistoric context of the archaeological heritage and the legends built based on ufological theories.

Para el análisis de los artefactos, se utilizaron principios semióticos sobre las dimensiones sintácticas y semánticas del producto, la comprensión del contexto sociocultural del souvenir, seguida de la investigación del entorno turístico y los elementos del imaginario local vinculado a Pedra do Ingá. El análisis de los souvenirs permitió concluir sobre tipologías de narrativas que exploran el contexto prehistórico del patrimonio arqueológico y las leyendas construidas a partir de teorías ufológicas.O presente artigo apresenta o estudo da linguagem dos artefatos por meio da investigação da narrativa dos suvenires do sítio arqueológico de Ingá, na Paraíba. A pesquisa está embasada nas noções sobre a representação da identidade local no produto e na compreensão sobre o imaginário como elemento identitário capaz de ser explorado na concepção formal dos suvenires. Para análise dos artefatos, muniu-se dos princípios semióticos quanto às dimensões sintática e semântica do produto, a compreensão do contexto sociocultural do suvenir, seguido da investigação sobre o ambiente turístico e os elementos do imaginário local ligado à Pedra do Ingá.
