Resumo: | This article discusses issues relating to the conservation and preservation of digital artworks in contemporary times, based on the case study of the work “200 Milhões de Anos: Árvore Pedra” (2010), by Anna Barros. It is based on bibliographical research and a technical visit to a recognised museum in the field of digital preservation. The text addresses the obsolescence of digital works and the challenges of safeguarding them. It delimits the concepts of conserving and preserving; it presents a work in the process of recovery at the ZKM in Karlsruhe; it defends the importance of expanded documentation for the maintenance of digital works. It presents an initial analysis of Barros’ work in the MACT/UFSM space, which opened in August 2021. This is the first work in the museum’s collection to be catalogued in Tainacan and later in Archivematica. A cataloguing model based on the ZKM model, Wiki Werke, is also being used as internal documentation, also in Tainacan and later in Archivematica, to guarantee safeguarding. |

Se basa en una investigación bibliográfica y en una visita técnica a un museo reconocido en el ámbito de la preservación digital. El texto aborda la obsolescencia de las obras digitales y los retos que plantea su salvaguardia. Delimita los conceptos de conservar y preservar; presenta una obra en proceso de recuperación en el ZKM de Karlsruhe; defiende la importancia de la documentación expandida para el mantenimiento de obras digitales. Presenta un primer análisis de la obra de Barros en el espacio MACT/UFSM, inaugurado en agosto de 2021. Se trata de la primera obra de la colección del museo que será catalogada en Tainacan y posteriormente en Archivematica. También se está utilizando un modelo de catalogación basado en el modelo ZKM, Wiki Werke, como documentación interna, también en Tainacan y posteriormente en Archivematica, para garantizar la salvaguarda.Este artigo fala de questões relativas à conservação e preservação de obras digitais na contemporaneidade, partir do estudo de caso da obra “200 Milhões de Anos: Árvore Pedra” (2010), de Anna Barros. Fundamenta-se em pesquisa bibliográfica, e visita técnica em instituição museal reconhecida nesta área de preservação digital. O texto aborda a obsolescência das obras digitais e seus desafios para sua salvaguarda. Delimitam-se os conceitos de conservar e preservar; apresenta uma obra em processo de recuperação no ZKM de Karlsruhe; defende a importância da documentação expandida para a manutenção de obras digitais. Apresenta análise inicial da obra de Barros no espaço do MACT/UFSM, inaugurado em agosto de 2021. Esta é a primeira obra do acervo do museu em processo de catalogação no Tainacan e, posteriormente no Archivematica.
