Resumo: This paper aims to discuss the importance of the relationship between sound and visual languages in generative design projects, and how this process can contribute to the improvement of contemporary graphic design in digital and interactive media. Developed a reflection on how the sound and visual languages are articulated in different formats and media. It addressed the concept of generative design, especially from the perspectives of Metadesign (Vassão, 2010) and the concept of Black Box (Flusser, 2011). The analysis of the works Equações (2012), HOL (2008) and Orquestra Vermelha (2013), respectively of artists and designers Caio Fazolin, Henrique Roscoe and Matheus Leston, resulted in the identification of factors related to interdependênci to these languages relevant to the design of projects in contemporary graphic design field.
