Resumo: | This paper presents some theoretical and methodological elements for reading visual poetry considering the phenomenon of seriality. This proposal is based on the relations of repetition and difference that highlight the seriated processes in the visual poems selected for analysis. We divided the concepts of series of poems and serial poems. We identified a series of poem when, in a reiterative poetic chain, the unities are autonomous within the group. In the serial poem each unit of the reiterative poetic chain depends on the whole. Given the support of French poststructuralist theories, we see how contemporary visual poems permeate the notions of seriality and can be read in a way to highlight the structure of seriated composition. |

Proponemos los conceptos de serie de poemas y poemas seriales. Identificamos una serie de poemas cuando, en una cadena poética reiterativa, las unidades son autónomas del conjunto. En el poema en serie toda unidad de la cadena poética reiterativa depende del conjunto. Dado el apoyo de las teorías post-estructuralistas francesas, notamos cómo los poemas visuales contemporáneos permean las nociones de serialidad y pueden ser leídos de manera que destaque la estructura seriada de composición.Este artigo apresenta subsídios teórico-metodológicos para leitura da poesia visual levando em conta o fenômeno da serialidade. A proposta está baseada nas relações de repetição e diferença que realçam os processos seriados nos poemas visuais selecionados para análise. Propomos os conceitos de série de poemas e poemas seriais. Identificamos uma série de poemas quando, em uma cadeia poética reiterativa, as unidades são autônomas do conjunto. No poema serial toda unidade da cadeia poética reiterativa é dependente do conjunto.
