Resumo: João Cabral de Melo Neto is often situated in the so-called Generation of 45. What is questioned is whether this insertion is the result of an aesthetic criterion to which the poet would join or whether it is only a chronological parameter that does not translate any affinity between his poet and the poetic ideals of such a generation. The section of the cabralino corpus will be limited to the first three works of the author that will serve as a basis for the discussion of the pertinence of the relationship between cabraline poetics and the Generation of 45.

Lo que se cuestiona es si esta inserción es el resultado de un criterio estético al que se uniría el poeta o si es sólo un parámetro cronológico que no traduce ninguna afinidad entre su poeta y el ideal poético de tal generación. La sección del corpus cabralino se limitará a las tres primeras obras del autor y que servirá de base para la discusión de la pertinencia de la relación entre la poética cabralina y la generación del 45.João Cabral de Melo Neto costuma ser enquadrado na denominada Geração de 45.
