Resumo: This article analyzes, from a literary perspective, the way in which the poetic subject of Republic of Becos interprets the city through the transformations of space and time through memory and the preservation of urban heritage. For that, we use the thoughts of Zukin (1996) and Harvey (2005) on postmodern landscapes and their relations of force and power; about reflections on the memory of the city, we adopt the thought of Santos and Moreira (2020), on the interfaces between memory and heritage, Pesavento (2005); Bollnow (2019), on the relationship between man and space and Hallbwachs (1990) on the experiences of collective memory.

Para ello, utilizamos los pensamientos de Zukin (1996) y Harvey (2005) sobre los paisajes posmodernos y sus relaciones de fuerza y poder; sobre reflexiones sobre la memoria de la ciudad, adoptamos el pensamiento de Santos y Moreira (2020), sobre las interfaces entre memoria y patrimonio, Pesavento (2005); Bollnow (2019), sobre la relación entre el hombre y el espacio y Hallbwachs (1990) sobre las experiencias de la memoria colectiva.O presente artigo analisa a maneira como o sujeito poético de República dos becos, de Luís Augusto Cassas, interpreta a cidade, mediante as transformações do espaço e tempo, sob intermédio da memória e da preservação do patrimônio urbano.
