Resumo: | This article analyses The Unwomanly Face of War and the ways in which Svetlana Alexievich reconstructs the narratives of the Red Army’s female soldiers during World War II. Our theoretical framework consists of memory studies and oral history, as well as war coverage in the fields of literary journalism. The methodology is French content analysis. The results suggest that: a) the strength of the work lies in its inclusion of the voices of the women left out of the war narratives; b) when transformed into narratives, oral memory reaffirms the past, updates the present and creates bonds of trust between deponents, narrator and readers. |

Los estudios de memoria, historia oral, cobertura de guerra en el campo del periodismo literario constituyen los marcos teóricos. El método es el análisis de contenido francés. Los resultados sugieren: a) la fuerza del trabajo radica en la inclusión de las voces de las mujeres excluidas en las narraciones de guerra; b) transformada en narrativas, esta memoria oral resignifica el pasado, actualiza el presente, crea lazos de confianza entre los deponentes, el narrador y los lectores.Analisamos, em A guerra não tem rosto de mulher, de Svetlana Aleksiévitch, o método pelo qual a autora reconstruiu as narrativas das combatentes do Exército Vermelho na Segunda Guerra Mundial. A hibridização narradora-personagem caracteriza sua escritura. Estudos da memória, da história oral e do jornalismo compõem os referenciais. Os resultados sugerem: a) a força da obra reside na inclusão das vozes das mulheres excluídas nas narrativas de guerra; b) transformadas em narrativas, essa memória oral ressignifica o passado, atualiza o presente, cria vínculos de confiança entre depoentes, narradora e leitores.
