Sector, Domain and Dimension: a New Systematization of the Scientific Production form the Masters of Hospitality from the Universidade Anhembi Morumbi - 2004 to 2013

Resumo: The subject of this article is the systematization of the scientific knowledge on hospitality of academic researches defended at the Master’s of Hospitality at the Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (UAM). In order to do so, I have considered hospitality and the categories sector, domain and dimension as indexes to the analysis of these studies. In this regard, it presents the objective of systematizing the dissertations from these categories and identifying their authors’ profile. Characterized as a explanatory-descriptive study, the documentary research was guided by the content analysis of the teachers’ curriculum in lattes and the 227 thesis defended between 2004 and 2013, based on authorship, title, abstract, key word and year of defense. The results reveal the balance between the two lines of research within the program, but with specific characteristics in each of them; the low incidence of studies in the virtual and domestic domains; tourism and means of accommodation as being the sectors most approached in every year of this period; the economic dimension as being the most significant. It shows the need of deepening the theoretical framework, which validates the establishment of the analysis categories and their variables.

Para tanto, instituye la hospitalidad como indexador y las categorías sector, dominio y dimensión para el análisis de eso estudio. En este sentido, presenta por objetivo sistematizar las disertaciones a partir de esas categorías e identificar el perfil de sus autores. Caracterizada como un estudio exploratorio descriptivo, la investigación documental se pautó por el análisis del contenido del curriculum lattes de los discentes de las 227 disertaciones defendidas entre 2004 y 2013, con base en la autoría, título, resumen, palabras clave y el año de defensa. Los resultados revelan el equilibrio entre las dos líneas de investigación del programa, pero con características específicas en cada una; la baja incidencia de estudios de los dominios virtual y doméstico; el turismo y los medios de hospedaje como los sectores abordados en todos los años del período; y la dimensión económica como la más significativa. Apunta la necesidad de profundización del referencial teórico que fundamenta el estabelecimiento de las categorías de análisis y de sus variables.A temática do presente artigo é a sistematização do conhecimento científico sobre hospitalidade das pesquisas acadêmicas defendidas no Mestrado em Hospitalidade da Universidade Anhembi Morumbi (UAM). Para tanto, institui a hospitalidade como indexador e as categorias setor, domínio e dimensão para a análise deste estudo. Nesse sentido, tem por objetivo sistematizar as dissertações a partir dessas categorias e identificar o perfil de seus autores. Caracterizada como um estudo exploratório descritivo, a pesquisa documental pautou-se pela análise de conteúdo do curriculum lattes dos discentes e das 227 dissertações defendidas entre 2004 e 2013, com base em autoria, título, resumo, palavras chave e ano de defesa. Os resultados revelam o equilíbrio entre as duas linhas de pesquisa do programa, mas com características específicas em cada uma; a baixa incidência de estudos dos domínios virtual e doméstico; o turismo e os meios de hospedagem como os setores abordados em todos os anos do período; e a dimensão econômica como a mais significativa.
