The Blind Can 'Seeing' Tourist Destinations in the Internet? An Analysis of the Accessibility of Official Websites of Brazilian States

Resumo: This paper analyzes the accessibility of official websites of Brazilian states with regard to seeking information about their destinations by blind people. We evaluated all tourism portals of each state through two software accessibility evaluators. Then, two blind people who are users of the Internet and has a habit of traveling for leisure accessed portals. After analysis, it was found that only the tourism website of the State of Paraná presented as accessible both in analysis of the software for the evaluation of the participants, indicating that almost all Brazilian portals are not accessible to these people. The study does not present practical solutions to improve the accessibility of Brazilian tourism portals, just from a descriptive analysis, but especially relevant, raise issues and provoke discussion about the topic in question.

Se evaluaron todos los portales de turismo de cada estado a través de dos evaluadores de software de accesibilidad. Entonces, dos personas ciegas que son usuarios de Internet y tiene la costumbre de viajar para los portales de ocio accesibles. Tras el análisis, se encontró que sólo el sitio web de turismo del Estado de Paraná presenta como accesible tanto en el análisis del software para la evaluación de los participantes, lo que indica que casi todos los portales brasileños no son accesibles a estas personas. El estudio no presenta soluciones prácticas para mejorar la accesibilidad de los portales turísticos brasileños, sólo de un análisis descriptivo, pero relevante, especialmente, plantear cuestiones y debates provocan sobre el tema en cuestión.Este artigo analisa a acessibilidade dos websites oficiais dos Estados brasileiros no que se refere à busca de informações sobre os seus destinos turísticos por parte de pessoas cegas. Foram avaliados todos os portais de turismo de cada Estado por meio de dois softwares avaliadores de acessibilidade. Em seguida, duas pessoas cegas que são usuárias da internet e tem o hábito de viajar a lazer acessaram os portais. Após as análises, verificou-se que apenas o website de turismo do Estado do Paraná apresentou-se como acessível tanto na análise de um dos softwares quanto na avaliação dos participantes, indicando que quase todos os portais brasileiros não são acessíveis para estas pessoas.
