Resumo: The activity of the Catalan anarchist rationalist educator Albano Rosell, from South America, for the achievement of a Catalonia free from Spain during the years of the Primo de Rivera dictatorship (1923-1930) is a facet that has been little studied. Rosell and a small number of Catalans residing in Montevideo proposed the political and cultural separation of Catalonia from Spain in order to achieve a new European country without a State and without a national Army. After this experience, Rosell evolved towards reclusive federalism and anarchist Iberism. In order to reflect on the anarchist position in the face of self-proclaimed republican and revolutionary Catalan nationalism in Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Havana and Santiago de Chile, we deal with the political and cultural debates that Rosell and the Montevideo group promoted during the period of study. Which allows us to show through the extensive work written by Rosell, how the official Catalan nationalism was always bourgeois and anti-worker and for this reason it was surpassed by the ideas in favor of a federalist and Iberian Iberian peninsula.

Faculdade de Educação/Universidade Estadual de Campinas2022-12-16info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdftext/htmlhttps://econtents.bc.unicamp.br/inpec/index.php/ridphe/article/view/1745910.20888/ridpher.v8i00.17459Ridphe_R, Ibero-American Journal of Historical-Educational Patrimony; Vol. 8 (2022): Publicação contínua; e022010RIDPHE_R Revista Iberoamericana do Patrimônio Histórico-Educativo; Vol. 8 (2022): Publicação contínua; e022010RIDPHE_R Revista Iberoamericana do Patrimônio Histórico-Educativo; v. 8 (2022): Publicação contínua; e0220102447-746Xreponame:Revista Iberoamericana do Patrimônio Histórico-Educativo (RIDPHE_R)instname:Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP)instacron:UNICAMPspahttps://econtents.bc.unicamp.br/inpec/index.php/ridphe/article/view/17459/12110https://econtents.bc.unicamp.br/inpec/index.php/ridphe/article/view/17459/12111Copyright (c) 2022 RIDPHE_R Revista Iberoamericana do Patrimônio Histórico-Educativohttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessMasjuan , Eduard 2022-12-31T17:19:57Zoai:inpec.econtents.bc.unicamp.br:article/17459Revistahttps://www.fe.unicamp.br/revistas/ged/RIDPHE-RPUBhttp://ojs.fe.unicamp.br/index.php/RIDPHE-R/oai||mcris@unicamp.br2447-746X2447-746Xopendoar:2022-12-31T17:19:57Revista Iberoamericana do Patrimônio Histórico-Educativo (RIDPHE_R) - Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP)false
