Save for not to lose: the constitution of the collections of the Memory Centers of Physical Education in the federal universities in Brazil

Resumo: | This article analyzes how the process of constitution of collections of ten memory centers of physical education in Brazilian federal universities took place. Its theoretical anchorage falls on Cultural History and for the production of sources an exploratory research was undertaken, visits were made and 36 Oral History interviews were produced. We can see that there is a predominance of textual and iconographic document supports. In half of CMs, the collection consists only of materials linked to its headquarters. Finally, we observe that there is the effort of people, groups and institutions that, in order to avoid loss, have used different strategies to gather, organize, conserve and give access to a documentary set that integrates the Physical Education heritage and related areas. |

Su anclaje teórico recae en la Historia Cultural y para la producción de fuentes se emprendió una investigación exploratoria, realizadas visitas y producidas 36 entrevistas de Historia Oral. Podemos percibir que hay un predominio de soportes de documentos textuales e iconográficos. En la mitad de los CM, el acervo está constituido únicamente por materiales vinculados a su institución sede. Por último, observamos que existe el esfuerzo de personas, grupos e instituciones que, para evitar la pérdida, echaron mano de diferentes estrategias para reunir, organizar, conservar y dar acceso a un conjunto documental que integra el patrimonio de la Educación Física y áreas afines.Esse artigo analisa como se deu o processo de constituição de acervos de dez Centros de Memória da Educação Física em universidades federais brasileiras. Sua ancoragem teórica recai na História Cultural e para a produção de fontes foi empreendida uma pesquisa exploratória, realizadas visitas e produzidas 36 entrevistas de História Oral. Podemos perceber que há um predomínio de suportes de documentos textuais e iconográficos. Em metade dos CMs, o acervo é constituído apenas por materiais ligados à sua instituição-sede.
