The kinematic observable ?* correlates with the dilepton transverse momentum but has better resolution, and y is the dilepton rapidity. The analysis is based on data collected with the CMS experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 19.7 fb-1. The normalised cross section (1/s) ds/d?*, within the fiducial kinematic region, is measured with a precision of better than 0.5% for ?* < 1. The measurements are compared to theoretical predictions and they agree, typically, within few percentCONSELHO NACIONAL DE DESENVOLVIMENTO CIENTÍFICO E TECNOLÓGICO - CNPQCOORDENAÇÃO DE APERFEIÇOAMENTO DE PESSOAL DE NÍVEL SUPERIOR - CAPESFUNDAÇÃO CARLOS CHAGAS FILHO DE AMPARO À PESQUISA DO ESTADO DO RIO DE JANEIRO - FAPERJFUNDAÇÃO DE AMPARO À PESQUISA DO ESTADO DE SÃO PAULO - FAPESPAbertoUNIVERSIDADE ESTADUAL DE CAMPINASChinellato, José Augusto, 1950-Manganote, Edmilson José Tonelli, 1962-2018info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/articleapplication/pdfhttps://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12733/1664122CHINELLATO, José Augusto; MANGANOTE, Edmilson José Tonelli.
