Resumo: Abstract: The analysis 01' lhe Univcrsity-productivc sccior relation has heen orientcd towards a particularized treatrnent 01' the rnatter. That is. starting from case rescarchcs and studics which approach to speciíic segments and analyze thc cooperative mcchanisms spccially designed in each case. Following this tremi. it was dcveloped in Gcosciences Institute 01' UNICAMP the Proicct: "Incnrporation 01'Planning Cornponcnts and C&T Mnnagerncnt to thc Project 'Monitoring of'the Prirnary Availability ofthe Mineral Rcsources (MDPRM)" (1'1). The rnain obicct 01' 1'1 wax thc design and cxecution 01' a program uirning thc markcting of lhe Database and lhe methodology developed by lhe MDPRM project. PI had lhe challcnge of making available a product. which was prcviously developcd in the academic sphcre. for a rnarkct with characteristics that are nOI wcll-known. The intrinsical ditficulty 10 this challengc reflccts on the project rcsults. The low rcceptivity by lhe potential intercstcd pariics 10 lhe performcd actions was idcntificd and this raiscd a problern: \Vh" lhe users did nol e.xpress inleresl tilr lhe pruduel') The prcscnt article is an ancmpt to analyze and answcr this question contributing, in any way, for the undcrstanding of lhe relation between lhe university and lhe mineral sector. In this sense, arguments and rcasoning based on lhe literature OTl lhe rclation between the univcrsity and lhe mineral scctor and based on lhe analysis of lhe peculiar characreristics of the mineral sector are prcsented. Frum lhe undcrstanding otthe dillieulties verified in the markeung ot'thc Database. it is suggcsted the attitude which could increase the chance 01' success in lhe rnarketing 01' products crcatcd in similar situations

Isto é. a partir de pesquisas e estudos de caso que abordam segmentos específicos e analisam os mecanismos de cooperação especialmente desenhados em cada caso. Acompanhando essa tendência. foi desenvolvido no Instituto de (icociência-, da lJNICAMr o Projeto "Incorporação de Componentes de Planejamento c Gestão de C&T ao Projeto 'Monitoraçâo da Disponibilidade Primária de Recursos Minerais'(MDPRMl" (1'1). O objetivo principal do ri loi o desenho e execução de um programa visando ú comcrcialização do Banco de Dados e da metodologia descnvolv idos pelo projeto MI )I'IUvl. O 1'1 tinha o desafio de dispnnibilizar um produto. prev iurncrue desenvolvido no meio acadêmico. para um mercado com características não suficientemente conhecidas. A dificuldade intrínseca a este desafio refletiu nos resultados do projeto. Identificou-se uma baixa rcceptividadc dos potenciais interessados às ações realizadas. o que caracterizou um problema: por que os usuários nào manifestCInJlIl interesse pelo produto'>. O presente artigo e uma tentativa de analisar e responder a essa pergunta. contribuindo. de certa forma, para o entendimento da relação entre a universidade e o setor mineral. Neste sentido, são apresentados argumentos e razões baseados na literatura sobre a relação uni, crsidade-sctor produtivo e na análise das características próprias do setor mineral.
