Resumo: | Abstract ‘SCS438 Zafira’ is a novel plum cultivar, adapted to southern Brazil. It produces high-quality fruits, very similar to ‘Fortune’, the standard mid-season cultivar. Its main advantage is the resistance to leaf scald. Apparently, the mechanism of resistance blocks the transmission of the bacteria by natural insect vectors (sharpshooters). |
