Summary: Abstract The papaya cultivar UC14, recommended for the Southeast and Northeast regions of Brazil, was developed by UENF/CALIMAN breeding program. ‘UC14’ produces smaller fruit than those of Formosa hybrid, with a mean weight of 0.8 kg and a mean fruit yield of 199.45 t ha-1.
