Physical Activity and CoViD-19 – Biopsychological Implications: An Article View of The Review Study of Woods et al.

Resumo: Introduction: As part of the Special Edition 2020 I, the Revista de Educação Física / Journal of Physical Education (REF/JPE) brings scientific aspects of the practice of physical activity related to the CoViD-19 pandemic. Objective: To present and refer to REF/JPE readers to access the systematic review study by Woods et al., published in an international scientific journal addressed implications of cellular mechanisms, effects of aging, adequate nutrition, and regular physical activity in the context of Covid-19. Conclusion: CoViD-19 mainly affects the respiratory and immune systems. The recommendation for healthy individuals is that they should remain physically active, albeit at a social distance in order to promote their health. Reading the work of Woods et al. is recommended.
