Abstract In the dynamic scenario of distance education, technological innovations arise and assume a prominent role in supporting teaching and learning processes, such as digital repositories (DR). Considering the importance of DR in the age of cyberculture, this research has as main objective to analyze the teachers’ perceptions of the Open University of Brazil (UAB) on digital repositories as tools to support teaching/learning processes in the context of distance education. In methodological terms, research is predominantly qualitative, although it relies on quantitative data in the context of results. The target audience is formed by teachers of the undergraduate courses, offered in the distance modality by the Open University of Brazil Program of a federal public institution of higher education. As an instrument of data collection, a mixed questionnaire was used, available in a digital medium. Through the answers obtained, it was possible to carry out analyzes and reflections on the importance of having a work to guide and use the repositories, so that the teachers know the purpose of DR and its relevance in the scope of a higher education institution.
