Resumo: The objective with this article is to discuss procedures that favored the formation of a virtual learning environment, when planning and developing a discipline of a distance course. The discussion is based on a Doctoral Research, in which a discipline was planned and developed with the objective of formation a virtual learning environment. In the proposal and analysis of the discipline, offered in a distance course of Degree in Mathematics Professors, differences between spaces and virtual environments were considered; different styles of use of virtual by the students; the definition of virtual spaces and digital technologies and the development of activities, among other aspects that could favor interactions in virtual environments, with a focus on student learning. What we concluded was that the formation of the virtual learning environment of this discipline was related to the articulation between the virtual spaces and digital technologies made available, the proposed tasks and activities, and the fact of contemplating different styles of use of virtual by the studentes; that favored that interactions were produced in the different environments of the discipline. Digital technologies.O objetivo com este artigo é discutir procedimentos que favoreceram a constituição de um ambiente virtual de aprendizagem, ao planejar e desenvolver uma disciplina de um curso de Licenciatura a distância. A discussão é realizada a partir de uma pesquisa de doutorado, em que uma disciplina foi planejada e desenvolvida com o objetivo de se constituir um ambiente virtual de aprendizagem. Na proposição e análise da disciplina, ofertada em um curso de Licenciatura de Matemática a distância, foram consideradas diferenças entre espaços e ambientes virtuais; diferentes estilos de uso do virtual dos estudantes; a definição de espaços virtuais e tecnologias digitais e elaboração de atividades, entre outros aspectos que pudessem favorecer interações em ambientes virtuais, com foco na aprendizagem dos estudantes. O que concluímos foi que a constituição do ambiente virtual de aprendizagem desta disciplina estava relacionada com a articulação entre os espaços virtuais e tecnologias digitais disponibilizadas, as tarefas e atividades propostas, e o fato de se contemplar diferentes estilos de uso do virtual dos estudantes; que favoreceram que interações fossem produzidas nos diferentes ambientes da disciplina.
