Resumo: Medulla lesions are an aggression to the spine which cause alterations in its motor, sensitive and automatic functions. In fact, they form a high percentage of physical deficiencies by which people live in great disadvantage in a society full of physical and social barriers, with subsequent defects in life quality. Life quality and its several aspects in people with medullar lesions in Brazil are characterized. The following descriptors have been researched for review: Brazil, life quality, medullar lesion. Twelve articles, eight of which dealt with quantitative studies, and four with qualitative studies, were selected and data analyzed. All revealed that life quality of people with medulla lesions is unsatisfactory since it is directly linked to external factors such as environmental resources and psycho-social variables.

É responsável por uma parte importante das deficiências físicas, onde os indivíduos são obrigados a viver em desvantagem na sociedade por conta das barreiras físicas e sociais existentes, comprometendo a qualidade de vida. Este artigo tem como objetivo caracterizar a avaliação da qualidade de vida e seus diversos aspectos nas pessoas com lesão medular no Brasil. Foram pesquisados os seguintes descritores para esta revisão integrativa: Brasil, qualidade de vida e lesão medular. Foram selecionados 12 artigos, sendo 8 estudos quantitativos e 4 qualitativos, após sua leitura na integra foi realizado a análise dos dados.
