Resumo: Knowledge of infant education teachers on posture changes and habits is evaluated. A descriptive analysis with a self-applicable questionnaire on social and demographic aspects, existence of pain or posture dysfunction, causes and knowledge of teachers on healthy posture is provided. Twenty-seven teachers, mean age 29.7 + 6.5 years and mean teaching duration 17.6 + 4.19 years, participated, of whom 20 (74.1%) featured complete post-graduate course. All teachers were worried and concerned on the unhealthy posture of students in school and 20 (24.7%) had low knowledge on the spine and its damage by incorrect posture. Only 6 (22.2%) knew the ideal weight for children and 7 teachers considered themselves prepared to initiate a preventive program on healthy posture. Most teachers had an adequate knowledge on posture and taught students the basics on healthy and unhealthy postures. Since most teachers felt unprepared to start a preventive program on the subject, strategies in teacher training on the issue are required.

Saúde e Pesquisa; v. 6 n. 2 (2013): maio/ago.2176-9206reponame:Saúde e Pesquisa (Online)instname:Cesumar Diretoria de Pesquisainstacron:CESUMARporhttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesq/article/view/2513/1982Andreatta, Larissa BertoliniTrelha, Celita SalmasoFujisawa, Dirce ShizukoKatayama, Alan HideoFuginam, Cássio NoboroSiqueira, Claudia Patrícia Cardoso Martinsinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2020-09-04T13:29:46Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/2513Revistahttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesqPUBhttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesq/oainaep@cesumar.br2176-92061983-1870opendoar:2020-09-04T13:29:46Saúde e Pesquisa (Online) - Cesumar Diretoria de Pesquisafalse
