Resumo: | The objective of this study was to identify factors involving turnover and loyalty stances of nursing professionals. The descriptive and quantitative analysis involved 102 nursing professionals who quitted health service between 2013 and 2014. Data were retrieved by electronic form and patterns were discovered by data mining, later evaluated by five experts. Nursing professionals’ turnover and loyalty factors comprised communication between professionals and authorities; forwarding of important themes and changes in the company; treatment between boss and employee; opportunity to influence decision-taking; professional acknowledgement plus growth within the company and promotions to more qualified professionals; decent salaries; work load; healthy environment. Identified factors may have caused unfavorable conditions within the tasks of nursing personnel, contributing towards turnover. If personnel´s issues were handled better by managers, better results would be obtained in the institution, coupled to personnel´s satisfaction and loyalty. |
