Resumo: Nowadays, obesity can be considered epidemic in large scale. It has been growing not only in developed countries, but also in developing countries. The obesity factor for the increased risk of cardiovascular diseases has been more and more evident due to the fact that cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death in Brazil. The aim of this research is to pinpoint the main risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and metabolic syndromes in a population of hypertensive obese.
