Resumo: The Proximal Femoral Focal Deficiency (PFFD) is a rare congenital anomaly, being associated to the use of teratogenic agents during the first three months of pregnancy. As a consequence of the pathology, the acetabulum and the superior elements of the femur are formed first. Legs and feet come next, causing dissimilarity on the length of inferior members which, in turn, provoke disorders in the child’s motor development, implicating his walking prognosis. In cases where there is no clinic and physiotherapeutic follow up, the shortening of members becomes progressive and the risks to deformity development on inferior members and torso are intensified. Therefore, this study aims at deepening the techno-scientific knowledge on this pathology and, mainly, at addressing the available forms of physiotherapeutic intervention for the recovery of these patients.

Universidade Cesumar - UniCesumar2009-06-09info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesq/article/view/995Saúde e Pesquisa; Vol 2 No 1 (2009): jan./abr.; 81-86Saúde e Pesquisa; v. 2 n. 1 (2009): jan./abr.; 81-862176-9206reponame:Saúde e Pesquisa (Online)instname:Cesumar Diretoria de Pesquisainstacron:CESUMARporhttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesq/article/view/995/726Palácio, Siméia GasparRodrigues, Cinthia Parisinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2022-05-23T17:49:23Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/995Revistahttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesqPUBhttps://periodicos.unicesumar.edu.br/index.php/saudpesq/oainaep@cesumar.br2176-92061983-1870opendoar:2022-05-23T17:49:23Saúde e Pesquisa (Online) - Cesumar Diretoria de Pesquisafalse
