Political-religious landscape en South America

This text presents a brief approach to the political framework of South American governments in the 21st century, as well as to the religious-moral orientations, in micropolitical disputes, as one of the keys of political-religious analysis in the approach of neoliberalism and the neoconservatism. Eight countries are analysed through three political axes: the bolivarian, the neoliberal and the neo-developmentalist that, despite their nuances, allow the establishment of counterpoints or contrasts in the way of facing structural problems of redistribution (economic) and recognition (democratization of rights). A path of approach is proposed, for future analysis regional, in the perspective, on the one hand, of neoliberalism and conservatism as structural variables and, on the other hand, of progressivism as a policy of containment that, although it translated into an exacerbation of conservatism, gradually approached certain changes in the broad path of ruptures with the fundamental roots of capitalist, patriarchal and colonial practices. Therefore, the landscape derived from progressivism and neo-pentecostal mobilizations is briefly presented, the latter as a counterpoint to sexual and gender micropolitics.
