Resumo: The goal of medicine is to cure and relief from physical and mental illnesses of people and this mission is doctor's task. In this professional activity find to atypical forms of employment which leads to flexible forms and alternative employment with the holding of consecutive 24-hour shifts or more. The Medical Council allow this reality, forgetting the risks to which doctors are exposed, which can contribute to accidents in patient care. It should be noted that the working hours of these professionals, whether subordinated or not, has constitutional protection and should be limited.

Nessa atividade profissional constata-se formas atípicas de contratação, o que leva às formas flexíveis e alternativas de emprego com a realização de plantões de 24 horas consecutivas ou mais. O Conselho de Medicina tolera essa realidade, esquecendo os riscos aos quais os médicos estão sujeitos, o que pode contribuir para acidentes no atendimento aos pacientes.
