Resumo: Sleep disturbances can negatively influence the management of dental patients. A bad night’s sleep can affect the patient’s mood. Sleep disorders potentiate irritability and may reduce the pain tolerance threshold, making it difficult for patients to adhere to dental treatment. Questions about sleep quality should be included in the anamnesis and routinely asked before each appointment.
