Apresenta os sistemas de rotulação e organização da arquitetura da informação (AI), enquanto atividades paralelas à representação temática da informação da biblioteconomia, ações justificados pela necessidade do uso de técnicas que modelem os ambientes digitais para que o usuário encontre a informação desejada, de forma intuitiva e prática. Objetiva-se verificar o perfil do arquiteto da informação em Websites segundo a faixa etária, gênero, formação acadêmica, como adquiriu conhecimento sobre AI e grau de experiência/tempo em que atua como arquiteto da informação. Constitui-se de um estudo exploratório no qual foi adotada a técnica de pesquisa bibliográfica e abordagem de coleta de dados quantitativa e qualitativa. Confirma que a AI em Website é uma área multidisciplinar, formalizando um perfil profissional concentrado nos campos da tecnologia da informação (TI), designer, marketing e organização e representação da informação (biblioteconomia). Conclui-se que o perfil é de um profissional jovem com aprendizado em AI adquirida no ambiente de trabalho e com pouco tempo de experiência, atuando na área a menos de cinco anos, além de pequena participação dos bibliotecários entre os profissionais, deflagrando a necessidade dos cursos de biblioteconomia integralizarem e/ou ampliarem os ensinamentos sobre AI em suas grades curriculares e, consequentemente, gerando ampliação no mercado de trabalho para além das bibliotecas.Study that investigates the profile information architect from the representation and organization of information on the Web. Presents the labeling systems and organization of information architecture (IA) as parallel activities to the thematic representation of biblioteconomy, actions justified by the need the use of techniques to model the virtual environments for the user to find the desired information, intuitive and practical way. Objective is to verify the profile of information architect on Websites according to age, gender, educational background, as acquired knowledge about AI and work level of experience/time as information architect. Consists of an exploratory study that adopted the technical literature and quantitative and qualitative data collects. Confirms that the AI on Website is a multidisciplinary area, formalizing a concentrated professional profile in the fields of information technology (IT), designer, marketing and organization and representation of information of the biblioteconomy. Presents as the conclusion that the profile is of a young professional with learning IA acquired in the workplace and with little time of experience, working, in the area less than five years, little participation of librarians among professionals, triggering the need for librarianship courses complement and/or expand the teaching of IA in their curriculum documents and consequently generating expansion in the labor market beyond the library.Universidade de Brasília.
