During COVID-19 pandemic, the incidence of bacterial infection in hospitalized COVID-19 patients was high, especially those caused by multidrug-resistant Gram-negative bacteria such as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, an emerging multidrug-resistant global opportunistic pathogen, more commonly associated with respiratory infections in humans.
