A fisioterapia na prevenção e tratamento de lesões do trabalho: revisão integrativa

The long period of working time, when associated with inadequate structural conditions, lack of personal protective equipment and the high level of pressure that they suffer makes the worker more susceptible to occupational diseases and work injuries. The physiotherapist has become a fundamental part of health in the workplace, working in areas such as ergonomics and biomechanics to perform health assessment, diagnosis and promotion. The present work is an integrative review with the objective of describing in which ways the physiotherapist can contribute to the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases. In this research, an extensive search was carried out in the Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), MEDLINE and LILACS databases, using the descriptors present in the Health Sciences Descriptors (DECS): Physiotherapy; Prevention; Treatment; Work injuries, employing the Boolean AND operator to carry out the investigation. The inclusion criteria were: articles in English and Portuguese that have been indexed in the databases in the last 10 years, and publications such as: reviews, previous notes, articles that do not contain available abstracts, duplicated articles in more than one database were excluded data and that do not answer the guiding question. In view of the search, it was possible to verify that the most recent results obtained were published in the year 2019 (1) and in the year 2017 (2), there was a greater production in the year 2012 with a quantity of three published articles. Regarding the language of the articles used in this research, they were found in Portuguese (6) and in English (3). It was found that there are still few studies on the topic addressed and, given the results of the existing articles, we find something in common, which is the emphasis on the importance of the physical therapist in relation to RSI / WMSD, using resources such as Ultrasound, Laser, Kinesiotherapy, Cryotherapy and Hydrotherapy, to control pain, relax the muscles and enhance the worker's functional capacity. The physiotherapist achieves greater effectiveness working dynamically, aiming at the prevention and treatment of occupational diseases through educational activities, such as lectures, group work or even through informal conversations, in addition to this, the need for multidisciplinary teams to act is unanimous. in addition to treatments, prevent the occurrence of such diseases.
