Resumo: | Introduction: Childbirth is the most expected moment of pregnancy and for some parturients the most feared moment due to the pain that this physiological process causes. The role of physiotherapy at this time is to make the best conduct based on the biopsychosocial aspects that childbirth involves, bringing the best possible experience for the parturient. Objective: To make a review about physiotherapy's role on the active stage of labor. Methods: A bibliographic review of studies focused on the physiotherapist's performance in the active phase of childbirth was carried out to identify whether there are results in the approaches addressed. Procedure: Selected clinical trials were analyzed and data obtained from the articles were surveyed. Conclusion: Physiotherapy in the active phase of labor is of great importance, physiotherapeutic approaches help to reduce the time of labor, the use of analgesics and cause pain reduction during childbirth. |

O papel da fisioterapia nesse momento é fazer a melhor conduta com base nos aspectos biopsicossociais que o parto envolve, trazendo a melhor experiência possível para a parturiente. Objetivo: Realizar um levantamento bibliográfico sobre a atuação da fisioterapia na fase ativa do trabalho de parto. Métodos: Foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica estudos voltados a atuação do fisioterapeuta na fase ativa do parto para identificar se há resultados nas condutas abordadas. Procedimento: Foram analisados ensaios clínicos selecionados e feito um levantamento dos dados obtidos a partir dos artigos.
