The objective of the present study was the elaboration of a project for the implantation of an aquarium linked to a lookout with monumental attributes, in an unused area, located at the end of the JK bridge. Some exploratory and descriptive surveys of the main works on a monumental scale in Brasília were carried out, as well as the replication of the attributes, in order to highlight the importance of works with a monumental scale, either for their aesthetics or plasticity, functionality and symbolism. For the design reference, a case study of some aquariums that influenced the design of the project was inserted, in addition to verifying the feasibility of that project. Thus, the specific objectives were to structure a tourist, cultural and educational space as well as to stimulate environmental awareness and consequently to foster the regional economy. Thus, it is suggested that the implementation of the aquarium is feasible and with sustainable potential, aiming at the use of unexplored spaces and the increase of educational, leisure and tourist attractions.
