This work aimed to analyze the management of civil construction waste (CCW) in the construction processes of a residential development of the civil construction industry in the city of São Paulo. By occupying a prominent place in the national economy, the construction industry is responsible (for a massive generation of waste, which made it necessary for society, researchers and authorities) to implement parameters and guidelines so that management and management of CCW were not carried out in a disorderly manner. With the preparation of CONAMA Resolution Nº 307/2002 and Law Nº 12.305 National Policy on Solid Waste, regulated by Decree Nº 7.404/2010, there was a minimization of the impacts caused by CCW to the environment and to human health, by instituting generators as responsible for the waste generated in the activities related to civil construction, having a positive impact on the country's environmental issues, with the increase in inspections, requirements and improvements in the sector. This research used the qualitative methodology based on the theoretical reference, with consultations in books, articles, journals, standards, resolutions and legislation, and the case study, where it was possible to carry out a descriptive and critical analysis based on the current legislation, objective to diagnose the activities currently developed, when addressing the positives and negatives, finally making constructive suggestions. It is concluded that the analyzed project meets partially to that proposed by the current legislation, it was necessary, adjustments as to the management of the RCC to become an effective system and that fully meet the requirements of the laws
