Resumo: | The objective of the present study was evaluate the local effect of the gel with slow release of oxygen on the healing of standardized skin wounds caused in rats. Skin wounds were created on the back of 50 male rats (Rattus norvegicus, Wistar) that were randomly allocated to 2 groups. In the Test Group (T), the wounds received treatment with the application of oxygen gel and in the Control Group (C) the application of distilled water, on intercalated days for a period of 28 days. Euthanasia was performed 5, 10, 14, 21 and 28 days after the operation. Clinical evaluation, histological analysis (Masson's Trichrome) and immunohistochemical analysis were performed. The data were subjected to ANOVA analysis of variance and the Bonferro test. At 5 days postoperatively, clinically, group (C) and group (T) showed similar aspects. In the subsequent times of 14, 21 and 28 days, the group (T) showed better healing. In the histological analysis, there were, at 5 days, similar aspects in both groups. However, group (T) presented more intense inflammatory infiltrate up to 10 days. In the other periods, the group (T) showed a reduction of edema, angiogenesis, formation of granulation tissue and deposition of collagen fibers in a more optimized way, when compared to the control group. According to the immunohistochemical analysis, the groups showed positivity for the TNFα and VEGF antibodies, being significantly higher in the group (T). We concluded that the local application of the gel containing active oxygen accelerated the healing of standardized skin wounds surgically created in rats |

We concluded that the local application of the gel containing active oxygen accelerated the healing of standardized skin wounds surgically created in ratsO objetivo do presente estudo foi avaliar o efeito local do gel com liberação lenta de oxigênio na cicatrização de feridas cutâneas estandardizadas provocadas em ratos. Universidade PositivoBrasilPós-GraduaçãoPrograma de Pós-Graduação em Odontologia ClínicaUPDeliberador, Tatianahttp://lattes.cnpq.br/4688659299176448Zielak, Joãohttp://lattes.cnpq.br/5991949730989569Macalossi, Juliana Marchioro Souza2021-05-11T21:03:51Z20202021-05-11T21:03:51Z2020info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisapplication/pdfhttps://repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br/handle/123456789/2133porinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubasinstname:Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)instacron:CUB2021-06-17T18:28:55Zoai:repositorio.cruzeirodosul.edu.br:123456789/2133Repositório InstitucionalPUBhttps://repositorio.brazcubas.edu.br/oai/requestbibli@brazcubas.edu.bropendoar:2021-06-17T18:28:55Repositório do Centro Universitário Braz Cubas - Centro Universitário Braz Cubas (CUB)false |
